Cultural highlights
- The Bell of Curon (14. Century): it remembers the countries of Graun, Resia and S. Valentino, which had to give in to the construction of artificial lakes in 1950. To visit: the museum, in the close nearby of the bell tower of Graun!
- The source of the river Adige: 1550 m.s.m. and 10 minutes from the town of Resia the Adige is born, the second-largest Italian river, which flows into the Adriatic Sea.
- The Abbey Mount Mary Burgeis: the work carried out at Benedictine highest proportion in Europe. It (at 1340 m) was built over by the nobles Burgeis Tarasp, from Engadine. This abbey is populated by over 800 years by monks who live according to the rules of St. Benedict, and, getting along with the recent period, have today taken on largely the care of souls.
- Attractions: The new museum built inside the abbey.
- The smallest town in South Tyrol: Glorenza. In fact it has just 800 inhabitants, but the city was named for the first time as a city in 1304. The town, which walls are still intact, shows three massive columns at the entrance, a row of turrets, several alleys and corners, is the precious jewel of South Tyrol.
- Castle Coira Sluderno rises above one of the largest castles in South Tyrol, Castel Chur. It was built in 1250 by the order of Archbishop Heinrich von Montfort.
